Revelation 6:2

“Faith can move mountains.

So why are you stumbling on a little rock?”

Christians, "Train up [GUIDE] a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6👨‍🎓

My parents, as hard as they tried, didn't have the necessary skills to raise me or my sister well enough. But, being a CHILD OF DESTINY, I was raised by GOD, HIMSELF! From my mother's womb, THE LORD has carefully taught and guided me, AMEN. As young children, people couldn't believe my sister and I were related, because our behavior and personality were so different. And I would try to explain to them, as best I could, ☛JESUS IS THE DIFFERENCE!

Mary and Joseph, as pious and loving as they were, are not what made JESUS the special person that HE was (and is). Rather, it was GOD'S own HAND on His Son's life from beginning to end that made JESUS the person we know and love. Only THE HOLY SPIRIT can accomplish this, AMEN.🐑

As parents, our duty is to do our best to raise our children in the FEAR OF THE LORD. So that they can be saved and used by HIM, eventually. It was my mom and dad that took me to church as a very young child. It was there that I first felt the amazing presence of GOD! And it was my mother who taught me to pray, say grace, and exercise discipline & self-control.💒

With so much technology, social media, and worldly temptations, it's even more important for us as parents to make sure our children have a solid BIBLICAL foundation. Just turn on the tv, read a newspaper or surf the web and you'll find many sad stories about young children being abused, bullied, kidnapped, even committing suicide! Not to mention the continuous school shootings.📰

From birth, I've taught my own children to say grace before eating, pray day & night, study the BIBLE, exercise self-control & discipline, be respectful, etc. And it shows in their grades and behavior. PRAISE GOD! It certainly has not been easy. Especially since we have five children. But it's our GOD-GIVEN duty!🍼

Home is one of the best (and toughest) places to make disciples. Parenting is a high calling whether you’re a Christian or not. But if you’re trying to make disciples of your kids, you’ve got a huge task before you. The good news is that Paul tells Timothy that all Scripture is useful for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16), which means there’s plenty of help for parents in the Bible. 📖

2 Timothy 3:15
And how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Timothy grew up learning the Old Testament—the New Testament hadn’t been put together yet! Teach your kids the history of GOD’S relationship with Israel and the world. Memorize some of the Psalms with them. Read to them about Adam & Eve, Enoch, Noah, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Joshua, Ruth, David, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, and Esther. It was good for Timothy—it will be good for your kids.

After all of this, the BEST thing we can do is show them GOD'S love by how we treat them and other people. And by how we live our own lives! Remember that YOU are the first example of GOD that your children will see. And, likely, the most memorable example, too, AMEN👪
